Charlene D. Oakowsky
Oakowsky Properties, Inc.
Hobe Sound, Florida
Charlene Oakowsky literally grew up in the real estate business.
A Martin County native and third-generation Floridian, she comes from a family that developed residential divisions and managed investment properties, so it was only natural for her to pursue a career in that field.
Charlene specializes in residential listings/sales, distressed properties and first-time home ownership. She also continues to operate her property management firm, and expanded her skill set and knowledge of the real estate business by earning a series of professional accreditations with a few ranging from Accredited Rental Manager (ARM), Broker Price Opinion Resource (BPOR), Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE), Community Association Manager (CAM), Certified Negotiator Expert (CNE), EPRO, Graduate of Real Estate Institute (GRI), Housing Community Manager – Rural (HCM-R), Performance Management Network (PMN) and Transnational Referral Certification (TRC).
After earning her broker’s license in 2011, Charlene decided to expand her own Property Management firm: an enterprise which would blend her existing property management firm with traditional real estate services.
Charlene continues to serve her industry and her community. Charlene serves as the Chair for the Professional Standards Board of the Jupiter-Tequesta-Hobe Sound Board of Realtors as well as the Professional Development Committee; 2014 incoming President for the Hobe Sound Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Property Management Committee, Professional Development Committee, Professional Standards Forum and is a Board of Director with Florida Realtors.
In addition to her professional affiliations, she serves on the Martin County Affordable Housing Advisory Committee.
She was awarded The District Vice President of the year for 2012 from the State WCR Chapter and is currently serving another term as DVP for District 10 and 12 as well as Co-Chair for Effective Chapter Operations Forum.
